Psammogobius viet sp. n. (Perciformes: Gobiidae), a new species of gobies from Nha Trang Bay, South China Sea

A new species of gobies, Psammogobius viet sp. n. (Perciformes: Gobiidae) from Nha Trang Bay, South China Sea, Vietnam, is described. It is distinct from other species of the genus in its monotonous black first dorsal, pelvic and anal fins (also the second dorsal in males), in having genipores only in the anteriormost parts of the sensory lines, and in lacking a E pore in the seismosensory system of the head.
